Margaret Armenante, 84, Of Wyckoff

WYCKOFF, N.J. -- Margaret Armenante, of Wyckoff, died Thursday, Nov. 24. She was 84. 

Born and raised in Clifton, she was a 51-year resident of Wyckoff. Born Peggy Dugan in 1932, to Irish/Scottish parents, her family owned Dugan’s Tavern in the Dublin section of Paterson from 1878 to 1967. She attended the Katharine Gibbs School in Montclair. She enjoyed world travel and embraced new experiences with wonder and excitement. 

She is survived by her daughters, Eileen A. Armenante and her husband Thomas Suher, Janis M. Armenante, Jill A. Armenante and her wife Alice Dodd; sons, George R. Armenante and his wife Ana and Bruce H. Armenante and his wife Christine; nine grandchildren, Lindsay, Brianne, George, Heather, Max, Clare, Mae, Hazel and Heloise; great-grandchildren, Emma, Jack and Alex; two step-granddaughters, Juliana and Laura; and a step-great-granddaughter, Sophia. 

The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday with a memorial service beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, 257 Godwin Ave., Wyckoff.
